Everlasting Love

I am not a singer… at all. Although, I greatly appreciate worship. However, I have taken a liking to writing songs (even songs I can’t sing), and I wanted to share this one because I feel it truly expresses God’s love. You can also find numerous fragments of scripture in it.

My love, my love is everlasting
Though the winds pull and tug your heart
My love is as steadfast as a mighty mountain
Not even the roaring waves can break it

So child, do not be dismayed
For my perfect love will cast out your fear
Just stop, listen and you’ll hear
My voice respond with thunder

You are not alone
My love is with you always
Your heart is in my home
Locked away like a treasure and I
Won’t forget
No I won’t forget
My love

My love, my love is everlasting
Though the winds pull and tug your heart
My love is as steadfast as a mighty mountain
Not even the roaring waves can break it

Through the hurricanes of life my love endures
Take my hand to step onto the waters
For the waves will cease
At the sound of my name

And my faithfulness
Continues through the generations
Where my promise still stands
And my love will remain
As undeniable as the rainbow and I
Won’t forget
No I won’t forget my love

My love, my love is everlasting
Though the winds pull and tug your heart
My love is as steadfast as a mighty mountain
Not even the roaring waves can break it
No I won’t
I won’t forget
My love
My love

I have struggled immensely with condemnation, but God has patiently been revealing the truth behind his love for me… through music. So this song is near and dear to my heart, and I hope it speaks to you, as it did me!
