Love is Willing

“If you love her, then take a chance and reach out.”

This revelation was granted unto me during a lonely era when I was burdened with anxiety to the extent of isolation. I automatically assumed rejection was inevitable by an old friend of mine and decided to avoid confronting my fears. Rather than overcoming this perception of rejection, I allowed it to rule my behavior and treatment of her.

Love should be willing to take risks, despite fear. I had to realize that, were I to continue to avoid confronting my fear of rejection, I would lose the opportunity to further reveal my love to her. So I attempted to reach out in love and it bettered my relationship with her.
