Shameless Life

“Sin makes you want to hide in shame, but my blood was shed so you can run into my arms.”

Sinning is a multiple-step process. At first, a seed is planted in one’s thoughts (a seed of temptation). If one does not immediately deal with this little seed, but rather meditates on the sinful thought, it can birth a sinful action. Shame is often the result of the birth of sin. However, it need not be so any longer, as Jesus bore our sins on the cross that we might not experience the wrath of God.

Dwell on the incredible love required to sacrifice everything for those who are undeserving! The blood of Jesus was shed that we might pursue a relationship with God, shamelessly confessing and repenting in order to receive Christ’s cloak of righteousness. Consider this truth when overwhelmed with shame.
